Kathmandu, 16 May: Foreign tourists are left stranded in Manang as the movement of people has been restricted at almost all villages in view of the surging cases of Covid-19. The Annapurna Circuit listed as the world’s 10th number tourist destination has now remained closed. Hotels here have remained shut.
With the spread of the second wave of the virus and its new variant, some 44 tourists are confined in villages like Sangsar, Bhraka, Tanki Manang, Humde and Pisang, according to Annapurna Conservation Area, Manang chief Lekhnath Gautam and so far they are well and safe.
