
Kathmandu, 15 May: The Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal (JSPN) faction led by Mahanta Thakur and Rajendra Mahato has denied joining the government. The faction has decided to support the government from outside.
Prime Minister Khadga Oli had requested Thakur and Mahato to join the government taking charge of two ministries. However, the leaders rejected the offer.
The JSPN was deeply divided over the formation of the government. This faction is in favor of supporting Oli while Upendra Yadav and Baburam Bhattarai faction is against Oli.
On Thursday night Oli was appointed as Prime Minister as Parliamentary Party leader of the largest political party in the House of Representatives, as per the Article 73 (3) of the Constitution of Nepal.
