Kathmandu, 15 May: The National Women Commission (NWC) has formed a high-level committee for the prompt rescue, relief and medical treatment of women and children subjected to gender violence during the prohibitory orders issued to stem the spread of the coronavirus infection.
The Committee will systematically carry out monitoring of gender -based violence during the prohibitory order period and will work in coordination with various bodies to immediately rescue and provide relief and medical treatment to women and children subjected to such violence, according to the NWC Chairperson Kamala Kumari Parajuli.
