Kathmandu, 15 May: The number of the death-toll from the deadly virus has reached 4,856 with 187 fatalities reported today, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
Nepal continues to witness resurgence of Covid-19 cases every other day. On Saturday the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 8,167 fresh cases of corona virus infection across the country in the past 24 hours. With the latest addition, the number of infected persons has reached 447,704.
Kathmandu district recorded 2,146 infection cases, Lalitpur 444 and Bhaktapur district recorded 347 cases according to the MoHP. Today 5,455 corona virus patients were discharged from various health institutions across the country following recovery. With this, the total number of recoveries stands at 333,018. As of today, there are 109,740 active cases of infection across the country.
