Kathmandu, 14 May: When the opposition parties failed to claim for formation of an alternative government, President Bidya Devi Bhandari has appointed K.P. Sharma Oli to the post of the Prime Minister at the capacity of the leader of the largest party in the House of Representatives.
The opposition parties had failed to claim for formation of an alternative government by the given deadline of 9 pm Thursday.
After the opposition parties failed to claim for formation of the government, the President had appointed Ol as the PM.
Oli has been appointed to the PM’s post for the third time. Oli is taking the oath of office this afternoon. PM Oli has to seek a vote of confidence from the House within one month.
