Kathmandu, 13 May: Prime Minister and UML chairman K.P. Sharma Oli has suspended the party action against four UML leaders – Madhav Nepal, Bhim Rawal and Ghanashyam Bhushal and Surendra Pandey.
In a process to taken into confidence to the dissident group in the party, Oli has withdrawn the party’s earlier action for suspending the four leaders from all the party responsibilities for the next six months.
The dissident group has appreciated the decision of cancelling punishment against the four leaders, however, has demanded to return the party to 16 May 2018.
Dissident leader Bhim Rawal said that if the demand for returning the party to the status of 16 May 2018 will not fulfil by 4 p.m. the MPs in the camp will be tendering resignation en masse.
Meanwhile, Oli and Madhav Nepal have become ready to hold talks this afternoon.
On the other hand, the opposition parties are trying their best to convince Mahantha Thakur and Rajendra Mahato for their support in the formation of an alternative government. NC president Sher Bahadur Deuba is holding talks with Thakur and Mahato at his residence in Budhanilkantha.
Today evening is the deadline for claiming for an alternative government by the opposition parties.
