Nepal records 214 new fatalities, death-toll stands at 4,464

Kathmandu, 13 May: The number of the death-toll from the deadly virus has reached 4,464 with 214 fatalities reported today, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

Nepal continues to witness resurgence of Covid-19 cases every other day.  On Thursday the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 8,960  fresh cases of corona virus infection across the country in the past 24 hours. With the latest addition, the number of infected persons has reached 431,191.

Kathmandu district recorded 2,733 infection cases, Lalitpur 481 and Bhaktapur district recorded 348 cases according to the MoHP. Today 5,055 corona virus patients were discharged from various health institutions across the country following recovery.  With this, the total number of recoveries stands at 321,518. As of today, there are 105,207 active cases of infection across the country.
