Kathmandu, 10 May : The fate of incumbent Prime Minister Khadga Oli hangs on the parliament as he is taking a floor test at 1 pm at the House of Representatives (HoR). Though his party CPN-UML has issued a whip to in favor of the trust motion, some 20 plus HoR members led by Madhav Kumar Nepal-Jhalanath Khanal faction is undecided. The dissident faction members are undecided as to cross the floor or tender resignation en masse.
All other opposition parties have decided to vote against the motion except those from Janta Samajwadi Party. In case the dissident faction remains absent or tender resignation or cross the floor, Oli will lose majority and it will usher in formation of new government. Oli requires 136 votes to continue as the Prime Minister but he will lose the post if Nepal-Khanal group with 20 parliamentarians quit.
