Kathmandu, 9 May: Nepal continues to witness resurgence of Covid-19 cases every other day. On Sunday the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 8,850 fresh cases of corona virus infection across the country in the past 24 hours. With the latest addition, the number of infected persons has reached 359,855.
Kathmandu district recorded 3,162 infection cases, Lalitpur 533 and Bhaktapur district recorded 504 cases according to the MoHP. Today 4,022 corona virus patients were discharged from various health institutions across the country following recovery. With this, the total number of recoveries stands at 302,787. As of today, there are 83,493 active cases of infection across the country.
The number of the death-toll from the deadly virus has reached 3,684 with 52 fatalities reported today, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
