Kathmandu, 8 May: The number of the death-toll from the deadly virus has reached 3,632 with 53 fatalities reported today, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
Nepal continues to witness resurgence of Covid-19 cases every other day. On Saturday the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 8,418 fresh cases of corona virus infection across the country in the past 24 hours. With the latest addition, the number of infected persons has reached 351,005.
Kathmandu district recorded 2,270 infection cases, Lalitpur 462 and Bhaktapur district recorded 381 cases according to the MoHP. Today 3,370 corona virus patients were discharged from various health institutions across the country following recovery. With this, the total number of recoveries stands at 298,765. As of today, there are 83,493 active cases of infection across the country.
