Kathmandu, 7 May: The number of the death-toll from the deadly virus has reached 3,579 with 50 fatalities reported today, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
Nepal continues to witness resurgence of Covid-19 cases every other day. On Friday the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 9,196 fresh cases of corona virus infection across the country in the past 24 hours. With the latest addition, the number of infected persons has reached 360,201.
Kathmandu district recorded 3,089 infection cases, Lalitpur 643 and Bhaktapur district recorded 374 cases according to the MoHP. Today 2,905 corona virus patients were discharged from various health institutions across the country following recovery. With this, the total number of recoveries stands at 290,695. As of today, there are 78,629 active cases of infection across the country.
