Kathmandu, 24 April: The CPN-UML has formed a 265member General Convention Organizing Committee (GCOC) and divided portfolios.
A meeting of the organizing committee held on Friday, allocated work responsibilities of the committee members. However, leaders close to senior leaders Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhalanath Khanal have not been entrusted with any responsibilities.
Influential leaders close to Madhav Kumar Nepal, including Jhalanath Khanal, Bamdev Gautam, Bhim Bahadur Rawal, Astalaxmi Shakya, Ghanashyam Bhusal, Yogesh Bhattarai, Bhim Acharya and Gokarna Bista were not allocated with any responsibilities. Sher Bahadur Tamang has been entrusted with the responsibility of central party secretary.
