Kathmandu, 23 April: Nepal continues to witness resurgence of Covid-19 cases every other day. On Friday the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 2,559 fresh cases of corona virus infection across the country in the past 24 hours. With the latest addition, the number of infected persons has reached 294,601.
The Bagmati province recorded 1,166 infection cases, according to the MoHP. Today 410 corona virus patients were discharged from various health institutions across the country following recovery. With this, the total number of recoveries stands at 276,755. As of today, there are 14,724 active cases of infection across the country.
The number of the death-toll from the deadly virus has reached 3,122 with five fatalities reported today, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
