Kathmandu, 15 April: The controversial American grant project Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) is once again on debate amidst political chaos.
Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli expressed dissatisfaction against speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota for keeping impending the MCC file in the House of Representative for a long time since the government sent the file for parliament’s endorsement.
The file related to MCC is impending in the parliament since Krishna Bahadur Mahara was the speaker.
Oli, addressing the nation on Wednesday, accused speaker Sapkota of keeping pending the file presented by the government.
Similarly, former prime minister and NC president Sher Bahadur Deuba discussed with Maoist Center chairman Pushpakamal Dahal and JSP chairman Mahanta Thakur on Wednesday for endorsement of the MCC from the parliament along with developing an alliance among the three parties for an alternative government.
PM Oli and Deuba are in favour of the immediate endorsement of the American grant project.
