Lawmakers of the ruling CPN-UML in the House of Representatives (HoR) on Monday demanded that the American assistance of Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) should be brought under House business.
CPN-UML leader Khagraj Adhikari was worried over the unnecessary lingering on the assistance of the American government through MCC. “MCC is awaiting a decision since long, I request the Speaker to bring MCC under House business,” he said.
According to him, the bill draft was lying on Speaker’s table. How much lingering will there be with this bill, he asked question.
“It should be brought under House business immediately,” he added. MCC is American assistance to be given to Nepal for the inter-country transmission line.
