Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ has boasted about his success to bring the Biplav-led group to peaceful politics because of the appropriate security policy taken by the government.
Speaking at a Gandaki Province-level security conference held in Pokhara on Monday, Home Minister Thapa said that the State had adopted twin policies of administrative action and political dialogue to control the forces that had remained outside the mainstream of peaceful politics to end all kinds of armed violence in the country.
He said, “In the previous security conference, the security challenges generated by Biplav and Raut were major issues. This time, we are holding this conference when all their issues have now been resolved.”
The Home Minister said that there was no such force and group that might pose a security threat to the country and the government now.
The conference was held targeting 11 districts of Gandaki Province.
