Kathmandu, 13 April: The Chairman of National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Tapa Bahadur Magar has said that rights of the senior citizens should be ensured.
Speaking at an interaction programme, Chairman Magar said that the hospitals across the country should be made geriatric-friendly and the NHRC was holding talks with the agencies to make this happen.
In the meeting, monitoring for the effective implementation of the existing laws and holding officials accountable and prioritizing the agendas of senior citizens in the budget, plan and programmes of the local levels were stressed.
