Kathmandu, 11 April: Former President Dr Ram Baran Yadav has said democracy was facing risk at present. Releasing a book ‘Yatra Nirantar’ (Unrelenting Journey) penned by Tilak Prasad Sapkota here Saturday, the former President argued that Nepali Congress should lead the government for protecting democracy in the country. NC had played significant role while promulgating new constitution and bringing then rebellion Maoist party into peace process, he reminded, adding, “The civic foundation of democracy is however strong in Nepal.”
