Kathmandu, 9 April: The CPN-Maoist Centre has expelled Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa from his position as a National Assembly (NA) member .
The Maoist Centre has written to the National Assembly Secretariat stating that Thapa will no longer represent the party at the National Assembly, according to Dina Nath Sharma, Parliamentary Party leader at the NA.
Thapa faces action days after the Maoist Centre relieved four ministers in the Oli Cabinet of their positions as lawmakers of the House of Representatives (HoR) as they too had quit the Maoist Centre to join the CPN-UML.
