Kathmandu, 29 March: The Chairman of the ruling Communist Party of Nepal (CPN-UML) Khadga Oli has suspended senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal and Bhim Bahadur Rawal from the party for six months. Oli has informed the party leaders about their suspension and a letter relating to their suspension has been sent to Nepal and Rawal, according to reports.
Oli suspended them as per the Article 49 B of the CPN-UML statute, 1992 earlier Oli had hinted to take action against them citing their clarification unsatisfactory. Nepal and Rawal have been charged of carrying out activities against CPN-UML’s interest.
