Kathmandu, 22 March: Instead of responding to the demand of scrapping the one-sided decisions in the party by chairman K.P. Sharma Oli, the next central committee meeting decided to ask clarification from four dissident leaders including Madhav Nepal in the UML.
Now, there left two options in front of the Madhav Nepal faction – either to give clarification and surrender to Oli or to split the party.
The Nepal faction has no strength to split the party and also no clear picture on how to move forward the politics.
Oli, on the other hand, has said no to groupism in the party. It makes clear that Oli is not in a mood of negotiating with his opponents, rather, he wants to take revenge on those who were involved in suspending him even from the general membership of the Nepal Communist Party earlier to disqualifying it by the Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, Pushpakamal Dahal Prachanda is compelled to continue the Maoist Center’s support to the Oli led UML government as he is unable to manage the necessary number in the House to fail the government.
On the other hand, Prime Minister and UML chairman Oli has got the opportunity to justify his decision of dissolution of the House was correct.
