Kathmandu, 21 March: UML’s chairman Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli has emerged as the powerful leader in the party as the central committee meeting Saturday gave sole authority to Oli while deciding for the party.
Oli is empowered with the authority even to review and change the list of the MPs from the proportional election. Now, Oli can dismiss those MPs in the Madhav Nepal camp representing at the House through the proportional election and recommend other candidates in the list who will support Oli.
Furthermore, the central committee meeting has decided to ask for clarification from Madhav Nepal, JN Khanal and others on the charge of working against the party.
This plan is intended to save the Oli led government. Oli is also trying to influence those MPs in Madhav camp with the view of saving his government. If Oli becomes successful to manage his party, then he has planned to split the Janata Samajbadi Party and manage the necessary number needed to save his government.
Of late, both the factions – Oli and Madhav Nepal – are in a mood for the fight to finish and capturing the party.
On the other hand, due to the dispute in the JSP, the opposition camp has not been able to file a no-confidence motion against the Oli led government.
