Kathmandu, 19 March: The dispute based on sharing power in the government has reached the stage of finishing each other’s existence.
After the 7 March Supreme Court verdict, Pushpakamal Dahal Prachanda has become the chairman of the third-largest party from the chairman of the ruling party. Also, the unity and alliance between Dahal and Madhav Kumar Nepal against Prime Minister and party chairman KP Sharma Oli has been ended, yet, the fight between Dahal and Oli has not been ended. Nepal is fighting against Oli in the UML, whereas, Dahal is fighting to finish Oli through an alliance with non-communist forces – Nepali Congress and Janata Samajbadi Party. Dahal’s effort to topple down the Oli government has not become successful, unfortunately, Dahal is compelled to continue his party Maoist Center’s support to the Oli led UML government.
PM Oli, on the other hand, is fighting against the Nepal faction within the party, whereas, he is trying to fail Dahal’s efforts for toppling down his government.
Oli has been able to keep passive NC president Sher Bahadur Deuba and to engage JSP in internal dispute as well. There has been seen two lines in JSP – Mahanta Thakur and Rajendra Mahato are of the view of supporting the Oli led government, on the other hand, Upendra Yadav and Baburam Bhattarai are viewing for developing an alliance among the Nepali Congress, Maoist Center, and JSP. As the communists are engaged in the conspiracy, the political deadlock has been prolonged.
