Prachanda on Nepal bandh day

BABBLES

By Babbler

When commoners were restricted to run their vehicles in the streets on the bandh organised by the NCP Dahal-Nepal faction last week, however, the supreme commander of bandh, Pushpakamal Dahal Prachanda was appeared at Pulchowk in his car along with his security personnel. Similarly, another chairman Madhav Nepal was seen on a scooter.

The next day, Oli didn’t miss to give a reply saying whether they were visiting the city to watch how much trouble that the commoners have had to face!

MCC on bandh

Pushpakamal Dahal Prachanda joined a gathering of party workers to stop vehicle movement in the streets in Pulchowk on the day they had announced bandh.

When the gathering started to chant the slogan against the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), Prachanda felt embarrassed and asked the party workers to stop such a slogan.

Understandably, Prachanda is the main person who has used the speakers in the House of Representatives to keep impending the MCC files from the discussion in the Parliament. It is not because he is against the American grant project but because he is bargaining with the westerners to dismiss the cases of violation of human rights against him.

Counterproductive bandh and mass meetings

Although the organisers seem happy to see the human sea in favour of them in mass meetings organised by bringing people from different districts to Kathmandu by paying money. It is believed that the organisers have paid a minimum of two thousand rupees per person excluding the travel fare and lodging expenses. Does such a gathering reflect public support to them? In fact, those people who faced traffic problem on such days including the bandh day have determined for not casting votes for them!

Perhaps, the election result will show how has the voters rated the two factions of the NCP.

Just a thought

One after another innocent girl child is being killed after a rape. Neither the police nor the society is able to identify those criminals who are involved in such heinous crime. Some countries have announced to punish such criminals by castrating their sexual organ. In Nepal, such a big punishment has not been announced against those who are involved in the rape of girl child. Why it has been delayed.

As the government organs have failed to punish the culprit, the case of murder after a rape has inclined in the society.

By the way, if the government is unable to catch and punish the culprits, why not the government legalize prostitution centres from which it could generate an attractive amount of revenue for the government and the girl child could be saved!

Quotes of the week

Can anybody tell me an example that our government has opposed the use of Nepalese in the Indian Army against our friendly countries? Have they tried to stop the recruitment and did China and Pakistan ever oppose the use of Nepalese in the Indian Army against them?

Madna Regmi

In the name of exhibiting public support to them, both factions of NCP are bringing people from districts to Kathmandu. It seems to continue until the Supreme Court verdict to come.

Jugal Bhurtel

We hardly see around seven activists in citizens’ movement, whereas, there are around 70 media reporters. The next day, we see banner news of the event in newspapers.

Let’s assume, how the people have rated the newspapers!
