On/Off the Record

Today, we stand with glory for being a Nepali national. We have our motherland, own language, culture, tradition, and we have our own identity. We got the present identity due to the sacrifice of Great King Prithivi Narayan Shah, who unified small kingdoms into a modern Nepal. Although discarded by those foreign puppets, the Great King’s contribution and sacrifice for the nation cannot be removed from the history of Nepal.
If the Great King had not unified modern Nepal, surely, the country would not have existed as Nepal and neither, we would have had the identity of being a Nepali. British colonized many small countries in India. When the Great King saw a serious threat of colonization of the Himalayan kingdoms, he, to save the identity, culture, tradition and religion of the region, had started the unification campaign. Due to his sacrifice and contribution, we have remained sovereign and independent. The British rulers created present India by colonizing many ethnic nationalities having their own motherland. When the British rulers quit India in 1947, Pakistan became successful to declare her own Muslim country, unfortunately, many ethnic nationals in present-day India were unable to return their motherland. Nepal also lost a big portion of her territory in the Anglo-Nepal war. Still, many ethnic nationalities are fighting for the liberation of their motherland from present-day India. Many ethnic nationals have sacrificed their lives in the fight for freedom after the Indian independence on 15 August 1947. The liberation war has not totally been ended inside India. Nepal didn’t have to face such a situation, yet, she has become the victim of a conspiracy hatched by imperialist India and the western countries.
Nepal has been experiencing the foreigners sponsored loktantra since April 2006 and the foreign elements have become more active compared to the early days in removing Nepal’s identity. They used the Nepali political mercenaries to remove our religious identity by imposing secularism; our traditional identity by imposing republicanism and finally imposed costly federalism with the plan of splitting this tiny country. According to a recent report, the Christian population in Nepal has crossed three million whereas earlier to 2006, the number was just below three hundred thousand. Accordingly, the number of Churches has reached above 500 in the country. Nepal was declared a secular nation to pave the way for the Christianity campaign. The Nepali kings had always tried to protect and preserve Nepal’s culture, tradition, religion and Nepali identity, which was not digestible for the Westerners. Therefore, the institution of monarchy was removed. Since 2006, the mercenaries started to demolish the statute of the kings and stopped observing the birth anniversary of the founding father of the nation, Great King Prithvi Narayan. The national holiday on the birth anniversary being observed as the national unification day was abruptly cancelled by those mercenaries in the government. This unfortunate trend is continue, however, the Nepali people at large, are observing the event on their own. We also join the patriotic people while paying tribute to the Great King and urge all the patriotic Nepalis in strengthening unity among us to fight against the mercenaries and traitors.
