Senate Shrestha, coordinator, Comprehensive Nationalist Front, has remarked that the present political system has already been failed, therefore, a new system should be introduced for a sustainable democracy, peace, prosperity and good governance.
Talking to the People’s Review weekly, Shrestha remarked that the present federalism is an imported system. The system has been imposed by the feudal nations to divide and rule.
“Today, Nepal has become the playground of foreigners. The nation is being destroyed with the slogan of development. In the name of loktantra, there prevail rampant corruption, nepotism and daylight loot in the country,” Shrestha said.
Shrestha, who is coordinating and organizing youths and mobilizing them demonstrating rallies in different parts of the country, opined that the present political system has failed to address any of the problems of the people.
“As we have experienced different political system including the system introduced by 1990 constitution and a federal republic constitution introduced in 2015, both the system have dumped a pile of garbage, therefore, a new constitution of 2021 should be introduced by assigning the king performing as the monitor’s role.
“The present political system has been developed and imposed in a country like us by the powerful countries to expand their influence,” he said.
“I am not talking about a constitutional monarchy or an absolute monarchy, but there should be a constructive monarchy in Nepal for a sustainable democracy,” Shrestha observed.
