The Kathmandu Metropolitan Corporation has transformed the historical Ratnapark into the Sankhadhar Park. The Corporation, which has not been able to exhibit its performance, has tried to delete the glorious history of the nation.
Whether the Corporation aware or not, after all, the historical Saint Petersberg is always known as Saint Petersberg! Yes, Lenin wanted to change the name into the Leningrad but the Russian people didn’t accept it.
Dear mayor Shakya, you have not humiliated Queen Mother Ratna but degraded the height of Nepal’s luminary Sankhadhar Shakwa!
If you were wise, you could choose another place to develop the park on the name of the luminary.
Lockdown the Valley!
The local governments have been failed on every front, including managing Covid-19 pandemic. The Kathmandu Valley has become the epicentre of the pandemic. Now, when they failed to address the pandemic, mayors of the municipalities in the Valley have recommended for imposing three-weeks long lockdown in Kathmandu once more.
The local governments, as like the provincial governments and the federal government, have become the institution to loot the government treasury and local taxpayers by imposing and increasing taxation on the locals and practising rampant corruption.
In conclusion, what we should understand is that Singha Durwar has not been spread down to the local governments.
Devaluation of the Maoist leaders
The then prime minister of Nepal, Sher Bahadur Deuba had fixed the rate of Maoist leaders upto five million rupees. Today, the KP Sharma Oli led government has devalued the price of those leaders at not more than 50 paisa. In fact, today, they have become valueless. Courtesy: Twitter
