Kathmandu, 22 November: The Oli administration has shown blatant disregard for Ratna Park- a park situated in the heart of Kathmandu, by changing its name to Sankhadhar Sakhwa Park. Krishna Gopal Shrestha, Minister for Urban Development in the Oli Cabinet on Saturday unveiled the statue of Sankhadhar Sakhwa at Ratna Park and announced it be called as Sankhadhar Sakhwa Park, irking the the nationalists and general public.
Though people have appreciated the installation and unveiling of the statue of the national hero Sankhadhar Sakhwa in the park, they have objected to the brazen move of Oli administration of altering its original name that has been in existence for the past 59 years.
