Kathmandu, 21 November: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has appealed to the government and all stakeholders to protect the rights of the children.
The human-rights watchdog in the country called for collaboration to eliminate child marriage, child labour and sexual exploitation of the children, according to a press statement issued by the NHRC. The NHRC has requested for collective effort for the effective implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, constitutional and legal provisions to ensure rights to children, court’s orders and recommendations furnished by the NHRC to secure the welfare of the children.
