Kathmandu, 19 November: Nepal continues to witness resurgence of Covid-19 cases every other day. On Wednesday, the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 1,442 fresh cases of corona virus infection across the country while conducting PCR test of 6,731 persons. With the new addition, the number of infected persons has reached 212,917.
Among the new cases detected on Wednesday 1,038 have been reported from within the Kathmandu Valley. As many as 3,538 corona virus patients were discharged from various health institutions across the country following recovery. With this, the total number of recoveries stands at 182,780. There are 28,878 active cases of infection across the country.
A total of 12 people died of the deadly virus on Wednesday. With this the death toll has reached 1,259, according to MoHP.
