Nepal Panchanga Nirnayak Samiti ( Calendar Determination Committee) has fixed the auspicious time for Bhai Tika at 11:37 am on November 16.
Committee’s member-secretary Surya Prasad Dhungel informed that 11: 37 am would be the most auspicious time for offering and receiving the Bhai Tika.
Tihar, the festival of light, colour and flower, which is known as Yamapanchak, is being celebrated from Trayodashi to Dwitiya of Kartik Sukla Paksha from November 13 to 16.
The first day of Yamapanchak, Kaag Tihar (worship of crows), is celebrated on November 13 and along with Dhanvantari Jayanti on the same day.
Likewise, Kukur Tihar (worship of dogs) will be celebrated on November 14 in the morning while Laxmi Puja also falls on the same day in the evening.
The Gai Tihar (worship of cows) will be celebrated on November 15 and Mha Puja also falls on the same day in the evening.
The Gobardhan Puja or ox worship will be held in the morning on November 16 followed by Bhait Tika a few hours later.
