BABBLES: Nepal Conflict Party

By Babbler

This Babbler’s friends, in the social networks, have described the meaning of the NCP (Nepal Communist Party) as Nepal Conflict Party. Agreed, as the supreme leaders are performing the act of a “dog and cat play”!

The other side of the coin

The Covid-19 pandemic has created havoc in all over the nation. The government has totally failed to tackle the pandemic. Infected people are unable to get a bed, ventilator in hospitals. The government mechanism of PCR testing and contact tracing is hopeless. Every day a large number of people are going to India and other countries seeking a job. In such a horrible situation also, the two leaders are fighting for “a piece of bone”!

MCC and Sri Lanka

After a strong protest from the Sri Lankan people, the Americans have finally retreated from the MCC Sri Lanka.

Here in Nepal, our pro-MCC leaders are predicting that if MCC is rejected Nepal’s relations with the US will hurt, in result, Nepal will face financial blockade from international financial institutions such as World Bank, IMF, ADB, among others. What about Sri Lanka?

Odd to note!

The government says it is unable to provide free medical treatment to the Covid-19 infected citizens. The government has no programme to compensate people in the different business suffering from the pandemic. Hundreds of thousands of people have lost their job due to the prolonged lockdown in the country. Many of them are unable to manage two-time meals. Some social workers were providing free meals to those helpless people. In the meantime, the Kathmandu mayor has attempted to stop the free distribution of meal to those helpless people. Towards where are the government and its organs heading towards?
