Kathmandu, 11 October: The ongoing work of the powerhouse of the 140 MW Tanahu Hydropower Project has been affected due to agitation staged by the workers.
The work has come to a standstill after the workers of the contractor company, Sinohydro started an agitation demanding PCR test of all the workers. The agitation began on Friday after one of the workers tested positive to Coronavirus, according to the project.
The company is of the view that the tests could be carried out based on contact tracing, however the workers have demanded that all be tested including the family members of the workers.
