One week prohibition order  in the valley

Three District Administration Offices (DAOs) of the Kathmandu Valley on Tuesday decided to impose a prohibition order for a week effective from Wednesday midnight till August 26 midnight.

A joint security committee meeting of the three Chief District Officers (CDOs) held this evening decided to enforce the prohibition order for a week (till August 26 midnight), according to information officer and assistant CDO of Kathmandu Tulsi Ram Poudel.

During the restriction, all kinds of human movements, as well as the operation of vehicles of all types except for those of essential services, are strictly prohibited.

However, the government offices will remain open and civil servants are allowed to make their movements in the roads from 9:00 am to 10:30 am and from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm every day, according to the notice.
