Kathmandu,23 July : As per the order of the Supreme Court (SC) former Armed Police Force (APF) DIG Ranjan Koirala has been released from jail. He was convicted of murdering his wife Geeta Dhakal in cold blood.
The SC division bench comprising Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Ranan and Justice Tej Bahadur KC , on June 29, 2020, reduced his sentence to eight years and six months, waiving 11 years and six months.
