At a time, when the dispute is escalating in the ruling Nepal Communist Party, the opposition parties held a meeting at the Budhanilkantha-based residence of Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba on Tuesday.

Leaders of the Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal (JSP-N) reached Deuba’s residence in Budhanilakantha and discussed about the government performance.

It was said the opposition leaders discussed about the performance of the government and the latest political development.

He said that the opposition leaders reached a conclusion that the government did wrong by proroguing the budget session at a time when crucial bills on citizenship, Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) and other key issues were to be discussed.

However, the meeting did not dwell on summoning the House session.

Yadav said it was not good that the government was weakening Nepal’s relations with India.

In the meeting, Deuba, senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel, vice-president Bimalendra Nidhi and former general secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula of NC were present while Mahtha Thakur, Yadav, Rajendra Mahato and Dr. Baburam Bhattarai among others were present from the JSP-N.
