The Nepali Army (NA) has started bringing medical supplies from China both from roadways and airways. While NA brought 265 cubic metres of medical supplies via roadways, it airlifted 18.84 tonnes of medical goods by the wide-body aircraft of the Nepal Airlines on Tuesday.
According to Brigadier General and spokesperson of the Army Headquarters, Bigyan Dev Pandey, the goods were airlifted from Guangzhou of China to Nepal this morning. The aircraft had flown to China on Monday.
The airlifted goods mainly included 28,385 pieces of PCR test kits with reagent chemicals, 15,500 pieces of protective facemasks, 1,000 pieces of oxygen masks with cannula, 60 pieces of pulse Oximetre, 15,000 pieces of face shields, and 25,000 pieces of disposable caps.
Also, the goods included 10,000 pieces of goggles, 6,000 pieces of goggles (polycarbonate), 30,000 bio-hazard refuse bags, 21,000 disposable protective clothing, 231,000 disposable nitrile examination gloves, 231,000 surgical gloves, 25,000 disposable gowns and 31,000 pieces of protective shoe covers.
Flash Freight Logistics have been transporting and collecting the purchased medical supplies from China’s Sino-Pharm International Company up to Guangzhou. De Schenko, the partner company of Flash Freight Logistics, has set up a warehouse at Guangzhou to collect and keep the goods before sending them to Nepal.
