A Church in Denmark is preparing to invest Rs.720 million in 16 districts, including Kathmandu to produce goods adaptive to climate change.
The 122nd metting of the National Reconstruction Authority Executive committee endorsed a proposal allowing the DAN Church Aid to produce and consume construction materials adapative to climate change in the construction of the private houses.
The project period is fixed till December 2020. The project will come into effect in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Dhading, Makwanpur, Lamjung, Gorkha and Tanahun districts.
Likewise, the project will also cover Kaski, Sindhuli, Sindhupalchowk, Dolakha, Chitwan, Nawalparasi, Palpa and Gulmi distrcits.
At a time when Nepal has been in the top list of conversion drive, the presence of the fund will further expediate the conversion drive.
