Kathmandu, 20 October: Of late, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in hospitality sector has increasing in comparison to other sectors. In the first three months of the current fiscal, a total of 24 new tourist hotels and restaurants, along with one casino, were registered at the Department of Industry (DoI).
According to DoI, 22 hotels and restaurants were registered under cent percent foreign investment, while the remaining two hotels and one casino were registered in the name of local investors. All the foreign investment was made in small-and-medium scale tourist hotels and restaurants.
