In history, Nepal has been recognized as the country of the brave warriors. If one visits cities in Europe or America or Asia, today, Nepal is identified as the country of labourers. Of late, Nepal is identified as the country supplying girls. Besides, Nepal has another identity as a most corrupt nation as well.
Whether it is in the purchase of a narrow-body or wide-body aircraft or construction of Melamchi drinking water project or other such projects, big or small, the level of corruption and the corrupt mentality of the political leaders and high-level officials have become the Nepali identity abroad. Perhaps, this is Baburam Bhattarai’s “new” Nepal!
