Kathmandu, 2 December: The government has faced strong criticism form all sectors for organizing Asia Pacific Summit in Kathmandu.
A mysterious organization campaigning for Christianity, Universal Peace Federation operating under the Unification Church, is the main organizer of the Summit, whereas, the Nepal government is the co-organizer.
More surprisingly, the Summit was inaugurated with the blessing from Hak Ja Han, widow of Sun Myung Moon, founder of the Unification Church. Hak is the chief of the Church after death of her husband Moon. High-level dignitaries, including heads of the government, received the Christian blessings from Hak. Top level political leaders from Nepal are also participating the Summit.
Meanwhile, Hindu followers had launched demonstration against the Summit organized by a Christian organization. Dozens of the demonstrators were arrested from Kathmandu streets on 1 December.
