Kathmandu, 22 April: The intense remonstration 19 days known as People’s Movement II (2006) has completed twelve years. On this occasion Kantipur daily has published views of those who actively participated in demonstration, in its opinion page. Professor Krishna Khanal laments on the unchanged attitude and behavior of political leaders despite a sea change in the politics. According to him, Loktantra or democracy is equality and justice but is undermined by so called leaders.

Poet Srawan Mukarung is of the view that though ‘slave attitude’ has changed, feudal culture and its remaining remains. Political actors’ activities and social, economic dealings need to be transparent and accountable. Singer Rubin Gandharv sees Loktantra had given excess of liberty to people ultimately affecting nation.
