Kathmandu, 18 April: Unification between CPN-UML and CPN-MC has become uncertain owing to deep differences between the top leaders of both the parties. The unprecedented unity between KP Oli and Madhav Kumar Nepal has greatly troubled Prachad – the reason behind prolongation of party unification.
Ghatana Ra Bichar vernacular weekly has reported that their unity will put aside Prachnad and his power and position will diminish. To remain in power, Prachand puts forth newer demands with regard to unity. The demands like equal status, inserting the party emblem into the UML’s election symbol, incorporation of people’s war into party’s documents are matters that have surfaced in the meetings of unification coordination committee. They are all excuses, the fear factors of Prachand is the unity of KP Oli and Madhav Nepal which, he views will make him a toothless tiger.
