FM Gyawali to attend NAM summit

By Our Reporter
Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali is likely to attend the Non Aligned Movement Summit to be held in Azerbaijan in first week of April.
However, his visit can be affected due to PM KP Sharma Oli’s visit to Delhi.
Since India has felt that she has emerged as a regional power, Indian participation in the NAM Summit is negligible.
When India had sent her VP having ceremonial status, the then prime minister Pushpakamal Dahal had also sent our VP Nandakishor Pun leading the Nepali delegation following the Indian footsteps. To recall, Nepal is the founding member of NAM and she has maintained non-aligned foreign policy.
