Sometimes this sector or that is in great deal of turmoil, if the Western nations who give a lot of funds to some NGOs and individuals want certain issues to be raised. Now it is the turn of the media in Nepal. Nepalese journalists who are highly partisan are going against the government which trying to bring some sense of responsibility among the media people. Yes, the government may also be wrong, but using the media to fulfil political interests is more wrong. There were instances when hundreds of Western media people came to Nepal when there was a concerted effort to throughout the monarchy. Babbler himself met many journalists and even representatives from the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) came with bundles of money to make their mission a success and the developments in Nepal was given high priority in their own press while at other times Nepal is completely neglected. There definitely is double standards of the Western nations here.
