“Deuraliko Ful” [Flower from the Summit, that includes six modern Nepali songs penned by Ubraj Adhikari was released amidst a function last Saturday.
Noted musician Suresh Adhikari has given music in the songs. Noted singers Deep Shrestha, Sworoop Raj Acharya, Ramkrishna Dhakal, Pramod Kharel and Meena Niraula, have given vocals to the songs in the Album.
“Akcheta Ra Jamara” in the vocal of Deep Shrestha, is dedicated to the Nepali workers abroad who remember the Dasain festival in their home.
Noted poet Bishwa Bimohan Shrestha, cine artist Dinesh DC, pilot Capt. Bijaya Lama, former chief secretary Dr Bhojraj Ghimire, RPP general secretary and MP Rajendra Lingden, senior song writer Yadav Kharel evaluated the different aspects of the songs penned by Adhikari.
Yadav Kharel , in his remarks, said that earlier he had never heard the name of Adhikari, however, when he listened to Adhikari’s songs, he found them of high quality and standard.
Bishwa Bimohan Shrestha said that the songs give the message on different aspects of life in Nepal.
Shretha said that Adhikari has very nicely presented the philosophy of life and said, “happiness is to share with others, pain is to be experienced by oneself”
The function, presided by Chudamani Devkota was attended by senior Nepal Communist Party leader and MP Jhala Nath Khanal.
In his address, Khanal, apprising the message given by Adhikari’s songs, urged him to present more songs in the days to come.
Two musical videos on Adhikari’s songs were also presented at the function, whereas, singers Deep Shrestha, Pramod Kharel, Ramkrishna Dhakal had given live presentation of Adhikari’s song at the function.
This is Adhikari’s first step in the Nepali musical world. Adhikari informed that he is going to present more songs to the fans of Nepali songs as some senior musicians are interested in composing songs penned by him.
Adhikari is currently working as the finance director in the Nepal Airlines Corporation.
Out of the six songs in the album, three songs are musical videos. Musical video “Aashu Aafai Bolcha” and “Akcheta Ra Jamara” have been presented under the direction of noted media person Bhushan Dahal.
Adhikari, by managing time from his busy schedule in his work, is continuing authoring poems and songs. This is his hobby since childhood days. Adhikari had brought out a collection of his poems “Mera Chitkarharu” when he was just a teen-aged boy.
Born in Ilam, Adhikari was also involved in editing and publishing of literary magazines “Kandara” published from Ilam and later “Chiyabari” published from Kathmandu.
