President’s meddling into state affairs

Kathmandu, 22 May: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has shown unnecessary interest about three controversial bills that have been tabled in the Federal Parliament.

According to Annapurna Post, she has been meeting MPs and holding discussions about the Media Council Bill, Passport Bill, and National Human Right Commission Act. The Passport Bill has already reached the president for approval. The two other bills, however, are still being discussed in Parliament.
