Pre monsoon begins with unexpected regular rains

By Our Reporter
Frequent changes in weather with thunder and light rains are the symptoms of pre-monsoon. But this year, pre-monsoon has been as active as the monsoon with regular rains for days.
It rained almost every day, both in the morning and evening, last week. Meteorologist Shanti Kandel said the pre monsoon was highly active due to the effect of the local wind, the wind from the Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea.
According to her, pre monsoon is generally caused by local wind. But this year adequate wind carrying clouds has arrived in Nepal from the Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea leading to active pre-monsoon, she added.
Due to low pressure, the weather in Nepal was affected on Saturday. The low pressure wind helps form rain-carrying clouds.
It rained throughout the country on Saturday; it also rained on Monday night and Tuesday morning. In Kathmandu, it rained like in July forcing many people to stay indoors on Staurday.
