Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has averted a possible war between India and Pakistan by acting as a visionary leader. When the Indian leaders and media were provoking for war by airing false and baseless news that Pakistan itself had its hand in the Kashmir attack in which 46 security men were blown, Prime Minister Khan handed over an Indian pilot, Abhinandan Singh, captured in the Pakistani soil.
His action received accolades from all over the world. Even the Indian leadership, which had staged the drama of attack for a political gain in elections, found themselves defensive due to the move of Imran Khan towards peace.
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, according to the Pak media, said Prime Minister Imran Khan had proved himself as a visionary leader by taking steps for peace in the region.
The chief minister, in a statement issued in Lahore, said Imran Khan had given another chance to peace in the region. His gesture for peace in the form of release of the captured Indian pilot would be written in golden words in the country’s history, he said.
He said Pakistan had always taken solid measures for regional peace despite India’s war hysteria and the release of Indian pilot had been acknowledged by the international community, he added.
The chief minister said Imran Khan had given a message of peace to the people and the government of India and now it was the latter’s turn to respond it sensibly so that fears of war could mitigate.
