Ncell loan amount increased for flood victims

ncell-axiate-company-logoIn the wake of the recent floods, Ncell had increased its loan amount to help its customers contact their loved ones in the flood-affected areas of the country. It had also announced to provide balance transfer free of cost.

Ncell customers were able to use the loan amount of Rs 60 during this emergency situation instead of the regular Rs 40 during normal times.

This emergency offer was valid up to Tuesday, August 15.

Ncell has also introduced a toll free number, 9008, to help the flood victims to convey their messages to their family and relatives. Under this service, Ncell users in the flood-hit areas can dial the number and leave their message to the operator at the call center to deliver it to their loved ones. Other network users can dial 9809008000 for the same service free of cost.

“We are saddened by the loss of lives and properties across the country by the floods and landslides. At this crucial moment, we are hopeful that our emergency services will help the flood-affected people remain in touch with their loved ones,” said Pranay Acharya, corporate service director at Ncell.

“Ncell has been operational even during this natural disaster and has been providing communication service through more than 90 % of its towers even in severely affected areas,” he added.

Ncell customers can dial *9988# to activate the loan service. The service can also be obtained by sending a blank SMS to 9988.
